Bill Cotterall and his wife live in Tallahassee, Florida where they raise their two children and stay active in youth sports and local activities. After working for large law firms, Mr. Cotterall founded The Cotterall Law Firm in 2010 so that he could focus his practice on personal injury cases stemming from accidents of all kinds, such as auto, aviation, premises liability, defective products, and wrongful death as well as consumer protection and commercial litigation for regional businesses.  Mr. Cotterall is a graduate of Florida State University and he received his law degree from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami in May 2002.

Bill Cotterall is an experienced trial attorney who has tried cases in both state and federal courts. He has worked with clients on all aspects of litigation, from pre-suit through trial and appeal. In the past, he has worked for some of the most prominent and respected law firms in Florida. His primary areas of practice throughout his career have consisted of personal injury, complex commercial litigation, products liability and aviation law. He is an experienced trial attorney and serves as lead counsel as well as co-counsel for trials, mediation and settlement negotiations.

Bill Cotterall is a member of the Florida Justice Association where he serves on its Board of Directors, the American Association for Justice and the Capital City Justice Association.  He has also been an appointee and has served on the Florida Bar Aviation Law Committee.  Bill Cotterall is a member of the Nation’s Top One Percent by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel and has maintained a 10.0 (Excellent) rating on AVVO.com.
